VIRTUAL VEHICLE – Project ACOSAR celebrates double success!

During the “ITEA Project Outline Preparation Days” in Amsterdam, ACOSAR was honored for its outstanding project results with an “ITEA Award of Excellence 2019.” The main criteria for the award are innovativeness, business impact and standardization. In addition to this award, ACOSAR received,  presented by Odilia Knap, Chair of the Eureka Network, and Tjerk Opmeer, Director of International Programs at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, the Eureka Award, as part of the contest.

In ACOSAR, a manufacturer-independent “Distributed Co-Simulation Protocol” (DCP) had been developed for the integration of simulation and test environments as well as a corresponding integration method. In July 2018, the DCP was integrated into the Modelica Association and has since become established as an international standard. International technology leaders such as AVL, Volkswagen and Boeing are already using the specification.

Both awards were presented at a ceremony last week in Amsterdam to Dr. Ing. Martin Benedikt (ACOSAR Project Leader), Martin Krammer (MAP DCP Director) and Dr. Ing. Jost Bernasch (CEO VIRTUAL VEHICLE).

Congratulations to the entire project team!
