With Infineon and voestalpine, two further domestic global players are participating in the Styrian think-tank VIRTUAL VEHICLE. In combination with the long-standing shareholders TU Graz, AVL, MAGNA, Siemens and Joanneum Research, the two new, highly innovative partners want to push the development of digital mobility. There are a lot of open tasks, the international demand for expert support is very high.
“In the next 5 years, we will focus our 120 million EUR research focus on the digital transformation of vehicles. From self-driving vehicles to safety and data usage, to innovative prototype tests and pioneering mobility concepts, our range of forward-looking research fields is very attractive, “explains Jost Bernasch, Managing Director of the VIRTUAL VEHICLE Research Center in Graz. At the Research Center, digital mobility means all solutions for the development and improvement of intelligent and connected vehicles and their systems.
