EU Research Project HADRIAN – Final Event in Graz

The EU Research Project HADRIAN takes a new approach that combines the human driver, the vehicle and the road infrastructure. The interaction between the driver and the automated vehicle is the focus of the research project in order to increase user-friendliness and acceptance.
Automated driving promises advantages such as increased safety and using time meaningful while driving. It also represents a new mobility offer for otherwise restricted mobility participants. However, the development for this is progressing more slowly than expected before. Unpredictable situations can arise in road traffic to which the vehicle cannot react independently or quickly enough. For this reason, the driver must show acceptance and trust in this new technology in order to be able to intervene in a risky situation.

During the final event on 9th and 10th of May 2023, solutions for improving automated driving from a human-centered perspective will be presented and discussed. Participants will get an overview of the innovations in the field of connected driving in terms of driver acceptance and safety.

Date: 9th & 10th of May 2023

Location: MP09 Liebenauer Tangente 4/6, Graz, Austria
