The research project D-Tras (Digital Platform for Traffic Safety-Risk Prediction in Rural Areas) is developing a digital platform to warn car drivers and motorcyclists of traffic risks on the road. With the collection of data from the vehicle itself and from existing data, as well as an AI model, a system was developed to make predictions about traffic risks on the road for car drivers and motorcyclists.

The field study is mainly conducted in rural areas in the regions of Southern Lower Saxony/Harz (DE) and Styria (AT).

Become a tester and support us in road safety
How?

• You are mainly on the road in the specified regions.
• You drive a car or motorbike and own an Android smartphone.
• If you own a car built in 2017 or later, you can participate with your networked vehicle. Of course, you can also participate with an older car.
• You will receive the warnings via an app and at the same time anonymised data will be sent to the D-Tras platform in order to be able to identify dangers for you and other road users.
• The first 100 registrations will receive a voucher of 25€ as a thank you.
