Impressions of 11th GSVF @Graz

The development in the field of autonomous driving is progressing rapidly. The GSVF 2018 was all about topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and model-centric design in connection with the rapidly increasing complexity in the vehicle development.

VIRTUAL VEHICLE looks back on two exciting days:

With many new and well-known faces from industry and research, the GSVF conference was a “get-together” in a class of its own.

Visionary approaches from different perspectives on areas such as human-centered design, mobility of the future or AI in vehicle development broke up economic and technical thinking horizons.

With varied presentations and lectures, the VIRTUAL VEHICLE Automated-Drive demonstrator also made its rounds and everyone could take advantage of the opportunity to experience autonomous driving live.

GSVF Keynote Speaker 2018:

  • Challenges of functional based development and testing of multiple connected systems – Dr. Ralph Sundermeier – Volkswagen AG
  • Artificial Intelligence and machine learning on the way to autonomous driving – Simon Fürst – BMW Group
  • Artificial Intelligence and deep learning for autonomous driving – Bernhard Nessler – Johannes Kepler Universität
  • Autonomous driving – Changes and Challenges in the automotive industry – Torsten Gollewski – ZF AG, Zukunft Ventures AG

The entire VIRTUAL VEHICLE team would like to thank all the speakers, participants and exhibitors for the exciting contributions, and we look forward to welcoming you again in 2019!
